Operations

Kepler Research provides operations support for DoD mission critical systems. From development of concepts of operation to providing operations center manning and management, we support all phases of the operation.

Kepler has developed a business area based upon the experience of its staff in operating and maintaining space systems, missile defense systems, intelligence systems, and disaster readiness and response systems. Our current clients include:  Air Force Space Command, the 20th Air Force, NORTHCOM, Homeland Security, and others.

Space Operations

Kepler provides expertise in advanced space force application and strategic force enhancement concepts. This work includes conducting space systems and architectures analyses, helping to formulate operational concepts; developing mission area plans; mission needs analyses; developing ops, system and technical requirements; and, system’s costs.  Our work helps to identify shortfalls and refine requirements.

Defense Intelligence Agency

Kepler has also helped in the mission of operating a single, integrated and synchronized Defense Joint Intelligence Operations Center (DJIOC). We help to monitor all-source intelligence activities and provide timely global situational awareness to senior operations officers, intelligence officers, Combatant Commanders, and the Director, DJIOC on intelligence operations worldwide. We also work with other intelligence agencies.

Homeland Security

Kepler provides help to Homeland Security in issues that impact policy, strategy and technology. Specifically, we are helping resolve challenges in strategic security and logistics, as well as formulating solutions to our national, regional and local ability to productively manage a natural or military crisis. We are also involved in producing advanced solutions to ensure continuity of business operations and disaster recovery -- before, during and after a business interruption.


Kepler Research understands the players, their roles, their interaction and their challenges – both in counter terrorism and domestic preparedness strategies. Our expertise includes military and para-military operations, intelligence, networks, simulations and modeling, operations research, acquisition and logistics, planning and management.


Kepler has recently started a Disaster Response business initiative to provide command, control and communications for " 3rd Wave Responders". These are the infrastructure saving responders who clean-up, remove smoke and water, dry-out, repair and support infrastructure rehabilitation in other ways.  They will be using next generation "virtual control center" concepts to gain centralization and  efficiencies  of management of disaster responders.

Network Operations

Kepler's staff has experience in defining, building, testing and operating Network Operations Centers for a large missile defense network. They understand the concepts of communications network management and operations. Kepler has established strategic relationships with leading edge  network providers that are currently implementing Next Generation Network technologies. We are skilled in defining concepts of operation, developing and evaluating Service Level Agreements, provisioning network resources, designing and implementing NOCs, developing network operations process/procedures, and managing and operating network operations centers.
